At last, the most authentic looking thatch has
arrived – Fiber Thatch. After many years of trial and error
we have perfected the synthetic thatch to imitate our natural
version. Fiber thatch comes in two styles;
Description
of fiber thatch regular:
The Fiber Thatch - Regular panel is made up of
hundreds of simulated PVC thatch reeds, cut at different lengths and
bound by a flexible urethane strip. When installed on a sub-roof,
the thatch panels overlap to give the appearance of the smooth
traditional thatch.
The advantage of Fiber Thatch - Regular is that it
looks so real, like the traditional reed thatch, but eliminates the
weathering and aging effects of natural thatch. Fiber Thatch is UV
protected and pre-fire retardant. It can be used for interior or
exterior applications.

FAQ’s of Fiber Thatch ™
If the Fiber Thatch panel is
installed on a sub-roof, what can I use to put on the interior
of the plywood?
We have a great product called
Reed Ceiling
Board and it’s primary use is to imitate a natural
thatch ceiling. If you have the Fiber Thatch panels on the
exterior, no-one would know that you have a sub-roof, because
when you look up in the interior all you see is the thatch
reeds, as the 4’ x 8’ Reed Ceiling Boards glue directly to the
plywood.
Is Fiber Thatch a recycled
product?
Currently Fiber Thatch uses 7% of
recycled materials. We are hoping to improve on this percentage.
Is Fiber Thatch supplied in only
one color?
The standard stock item is made up
of multiple natural colors to imitate the natural Thatch Reed
panel. However, we will do custom blends of ANY color for large
orders that would fill a 20’ or 40’ container.
